Questions

What is Evaré?

Evaré is a private home for the memories that matter. You create vaults, for a wedding, a child, a pet, someone you’ve lost or anything else, and fill them with photos, videos, voice notes, letters and stories, from you and the people you invite.

Is Evaré only for weddings?

No. Evaré keeps any memories you want to keep: a wedding, a new baby, a pet, travels, family history, or someone you’ve lost. Each vault has its own members, so the right people see the right memories.

How do our guests add their photos and messages?

Put your guest QR code on the tables, or share the link. Guests scan it with their phone camera and add photos, leave a voice message or write a few words, straight to your vault, without downloading anything or making an account. They only see what they’ve sent, and you choose what to keep. Turn it on in your wedding vault’s settings, under Guest photos & messages by QR, then print your table cards.

Is it like an audio guestbook?

Yes, without the vintage phone. Guests record a voice message on their own phone from the table, up to three minutes each, and you can listen to every one in your vault afterwards. There’s nothing to hire, set up or post back.

How much does it cost?

£49, once, for your whole wedding, with no subscription and no charge per guest. While Evaré is in its beta it’s free, and everything you and your guests add stays yours at launch.

Who can see my memories?

Only you, until you invite someone. Each vault has its own members, and you decide what each person can do, including whether they can save the original photos and videos.

Do the people I invite have to pay?

No. Invited members always join free. The vault owner’s plan covers the storage.

What is a time capsule?

A collection of memories sealed until a date you choose. Nobody can open it before then, not even the person who made it. It’s lovely for birthdays, anniversaries and messages to read in years to come.

Is Evaré free?

Yes, while it’s in beta. Nothing is charged and we don’t ask for payment details. Paid plans will be announced before launch, and beta testers get 2 months of Evaré Pro free. See pricing.

Which phones does it work on?

The beta is open on Android now: download it here (see how to install). On iPhone, you can already use the Evaré iPhone preview in Safari (tap Share, then Add to Home Screen to keep it like an app), and the App Store version follows very soon. Your account carries over.

Do you use my memories for advertising or AI?

No. We never sell your information, show you ads based on your memories, or use them to train AI. Read the privacy notice for the details.

Can I get my memories out again?

Yes. You can export your memories from the app at any time, as a download you keep. Photos, videos and voice recordings come out as ordinary files that open on any computer or phone, so they are never locked away.

Can I keep a voicemail from someone I’ve lost?

Yes. Save the voicemail from your phone (on iPhone: open it in the Phone app, tap Share, then Save to Files), then add it to a vault as a voice memory. It’s kept safely in Evaré, so it’s no longer a single broken phone away from being lost.

What happens if I delete my account?

Deletion is scheduled for 30 days, and signing in during that time cancels it. The app explains what happens to anything you’ve added to other people’s vaults before you confirm.

Who can join the beta?

Anyone aged 18 or over living in the UK or the US. Teenagers aged 16 or 17 can join too when a family member invites them to a vault: they can look through it and add their own memories, with extra protections. Because it’s a test version, please keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable.
