Terms & conditions
For the Evaré free beta. Last updated 17 October 2026.
Who we are
This app is provided by Evaré, an independent business based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: hello.evare@supportevare.com. These terms apply to the free beta. Last updated 17 October 2026.
The free beta
Evaré is in early testing. It is free: nothing is charged and no payment details are collected. Features may change, be removed or not work as expected, and we may pause or end the beta. If we end it, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email so you can export your memories.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, or 16 or 17 and joining a family vault you have been invited to, and live in the United Kingdom or the United States. Accounts for 16 and 17 year olds can view and add to the vaults they are invited to, but cannot create or own a vault, invite others or download original files until they turn 18. Keep your password and sign-in codes private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Your memories stay yours
You keep all rights in what you add. You give us permission to store it, make display copies, back it up and show it to the people you choose, only so we can run Evaré for you. We never sell your memories or use them for advertising.
Sharing and permissions
Vault owners decide who joins a vault and who may save originals. Anyone who legitimately saves a copy keeps it, and removing someone later cannot recall copies already saved. Only add photos, recordings and words about other people when you have the right to share them.
When Evaré launches
Your account, vaults and memories carry over to the full launch, and so do the people you invited. Before launch we will tell you about the plans at least 30 days in advance. You can choose a paid plan or stay on the free plan, and as a thank-you for testing, beta testers will be offered a free period of Evaré Pro. We will never delete your memories because of this change. If you stay on the free plan and are over its storage allowance, everything you have kept stays viewable and downloadable; only adding new photos, videos and voice notes pauses until you upgrade or make room.
Beta storage
During the beta, each vault owner has 5 GB of storage (around 1,000 photos). Photos, videos and voice notes added by the people you invite count towards your vaults. If you reach it, nothing is deleted: you can still view, download and add written memories, but new photos, videos and voice notes pause.
Please keep your own copies
This is a beta. We take care of your memories and keep daily backups, but problems can happen. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable, and use sample memories while you explore.
Acceptable use
Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive or hateful, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, anything sexual involving anyone under 18, pornography, or anything that encourages or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. These rules apply in every vault, because family members aged 16 and 17 may be able to see what is shared. You can report anything that breaks them with “Report this memory” under any memory someone else added, or in Help & support; we will look at every report and reply by email. Do not try to access other people’s vaults, break security, or overload the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts where reasonably needed to keep people safe or to comply with the law.
The Shop
You can design photo books and prints, but ordering is not open during the beta. Nothing is charged.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in Account → Delete account. Deletion is scheduled for 30 days, during which you can change your mind by signing in. What happens to memories you added to other people’s vaults is explained on that screen.
Our responsibility
We provide the beta with reasonable care and skill, but because it is a free test version we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Changes and law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you first. These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland; if you live elsewhere you keep the protections of your local law.
